Property management for Nigerian landlords

Week 13 Follow-Through

Customer Release Update

What changed, why it matters, and how it improves day-to-day operations.

Published March 28, 2026

At a glance

This release adds more control over online payments, improves payment-link reliability, and keeps manual collection workflows available even when online payments are turned off.

Online Payments Are Now an Explicit Module Choice

You can decide when your organisation is ready to accept online payments.

  • A new Online Payments toggle is now available in Settings under Modules.
  • Online payments are disabled by default until you explicitly turn them on.
  • Manual payment recording and payment history remain available regardless of this setting.

Clearer Tenant Experience When Online Payments Are Off

Tenants get a clearer message instead of a broken or confusing payment path.

  • The tenant payments page now hides Pay Now actions when online payments are disabled.
  • Tenants now see a clear message telling them to contact the landlord for payment instructions.
  • Existing in-flight payments with active payment links still remain payable.

Payment Links and Callbacks Are More Reliable

Shared payment links are more resilient and less likely to break.

  • Landlord-generated payment links now use the Paystack reference format consistently.
  • The payment callback flow now has a safer fallback when the returned reference differs from the route path.
  • Previously shared legacy payment links still continue to resolve.

What is next

  • Week 14: Visitor and guest pass workflows.
  • More commercial packaging and pricing follow-through across the marketing website and in-app upgrade paths.
